I love taking photographs and getting round to printing them out to put in fancy albums and gorgeous frames. I love looking back on them and having memories from good nights out, good holidays, good friends, family. My favourite photo frame would have to be this one. I bought it from New York in May 2008 and the picture in the frame is one of me and my friend [blanked out!] outisde our hotel getting ready to go to the theatre on one of the nights there. The frame is nothing special and only cost around $20 but I love the detail and little dangly bits.

There are a few yellow taxis, some apples, random love hearts and the Empire State Building not to mention the 'N E W Y O R K' letters themselves.

I saw the above frame in Wilkinsons when I nipped in at lunch today. It is only about £5 and I think it is gorgeous (I'm trying to think of an excuse not to buy it!). Wilkinsons actually have a great and cheap range of photo albums - I have quite a few from there and people would never guess they were from a shop like that, they look a lot more expensive than they are.

My kitchen/living room has really high white walls and I'm dying to get my hands on the red frame at the top from Next. I want to fill it with photos of me and my friends being silly and pulling stupid faces from nights out. I just can't find it instore and I keep finding things cost more on the Next website than in the shops...not sure why or if I am correct on this but I'm sure I am. The red frame is £30 online I think. Also, how gorgeous is the 'FAMILY' one? If I had a little family I'd want to get that too!

Hope your Monday has been great!

I can't remember what set me off thinking about this old game I used to have this weekend but now I've thought about it I can't think of nothing else but wanting to play it!!

This was without a doubt one of the best games throughout my childhood and I loved playing it. They still make it but the updated version looks rubbish, no big phone like below which was half the fun :)

I really miss being a kid and being able to play games and Barbies and I guess just basically not having all the grown up problems of the world to worry about!

Here are some other bits and pieces I fondly remember from growing up...

Teddy Ruxpin!

You could lift his top up and put a tape in and he would talk.

Tamagotchis were the best little toys ever, I think I had about three and a Tamagotchi Diary to monitor progress!

Push Pops!

I was never allowed these :(

Me and my brother used to have so many of these

I had a Troll party one year, complete with cake and party bags!

And this is one thing I will never be giving to my future children. This book has scarred me! I hate it and am terrified to this day of burglars and I remember Bill only burgled within the hours of 11PM - 5Am - seriously, if I need a wee at say 4 in the morning, I will wait until 5 comes around because then I think any potential burglars will be no longer lurking. Ruined my life!
I'm no closer to getting an internet connection for the flat and I didn't get to my mums this weekend so no posts are scheduled this week I'm afraid :(
I'll be back shortly so don't leave me!! :D

The past two weeks...

...have, really, only been about these things:

Watching Serendipity and falling asleep on the sofa [after being chased out of my bedroom by a spider]
Getting to grips [finally] with the first series of Nip/Tuck

Watching Serendipity with a friend [to show her how good it is]

Wondering why I didn't watch Nip/Tuck sooner and wondering why no one told me how sexy Julian McMahon is in it

Watching Serendipity and wanting the entire story to happen to me

Disliking Joely Richardson's character in Nip/Tuck [boring and moody]

Loving the Christmas scenes in Serendipity

Loving the amount of sex scenes involving Julian McMahon in Nip/Tuck

Watching Serendipity again and really, really wanting to be in New York for Christmas

and oh, watching Serendipity.
Did I mention I watched Serendipity three times already last week?
... Time to watch again tonight I think. *loves*

Lately I've been getting a bit obsessed with CSI: NY again. I had a breather and then with nothing to do I picked it back up again and began rewatching, to the end of Series 2 and I'm hooked once again. The only problem is the fact that I own Series 4 but no Series 3 and no money to buy 3!I'm hoping I'll come across some rubbish DVDs in my collection that I can sell and make money to buy Series 3 pretty soon. In the meantime, it's reading up about the story so far on Wikipedia and ogling photos like this that keep me going...

Tagged: Most Worn

The gorgeous Sadie tagged me a short while ago on this, rules being say what and post a picture of your most worn, so here goes!
1. Lipstick/Gloss
2. Earrings
3. Shirt
4. Nail polish
5. Shoes
6. Hair product
7. Perfume
8. Handbag/Purse

I've raved about these before but I have to say Soap & Glory Motherpucker. I havealmost used them all up! A few people asked me where they could get hold of these before - I got mine from Boots and I know Soap and Glory were going to launch an online shop so try there. :)
I am a big hoops girl at heart, I love having my hair tied up messy and some big earrings in and my most worn ones really have to be the ones I mentioned in this post when I bought them.

I think here I have to post a little collage of me wearing this shirt:

I bought it early last year and practically lived in it for a year. I don’t want to throw it away but I can’t really wear it that much anymore as its got a lot baggier and less whiter than it used to be! It was from River Island and about £24.99. I’d love to find a replacement … *sigh*

Nail Polish
My most worn nail polish this year has to be one of my Nails Inc ones. Here I am wearing it about two weeks ago with a bit of leopard print detail…

Out of my shoe collection I think these are my most worn this year; I love them!

Hair Product
I guess the most used product for my hair, and most rebought one would be Bastise Dry Shampoo. I need to go and buy more at lunch today too, it’s fantastic!
My most worn perfume is Dolly Girl by Anna Sui. I have mentioned this before but I just absolutely love it, it holds so many memories for me and I just love it.
I change my bags and purse so much but at the moment I am still in love with my new purse mentioned here and my black quilted River Island bag too.
This tag has been around the block a bit now so I will tag whoever wants to be tagged on it! Leave a comment if you do do it so I can be sure to check it out.

New nail polishes

I saw that GOSH had three for two on in Superdrug recently and went to pick up a few things. I passed the Collection 2000 stand at the same time and saw the purple polish below - the writing has already rubbed off after being in my bag for two days so I can't tell you what colour it is! The two GOSH are Bright Passion and Holographic. I've seen these on a few blogs lately and thought they looked pretty good.

I painted my nails with the Collection 2000 colour as soon as I got home and was going to cover it with Bright Passion but loved the colour on its own so much that I left it. This was on the Monday. By the Tuesday night it had started to chip despite me wearing a top coat which left me a bit disappointed. I had a bit of a trauma in the shape of a spider behind my bed :0 I had to sleep on the sofa so that cancelled out any plans I had for making my nails look nice that night. On Wednesday I repainted the Collection 2000 and covered it with Bright Passion and I'm mad I didn't take a picture. It looked fab - until Thursday lunchtime when I noticed the entire thing had come of one nail! I redid it again on Thursday night and again, on Friday it had come off. I spent Friday night picking all the polish off while I watched Gavin and Stacey and it just peeled off - does anyone else find that with Collection 2000 polishes? Do they just peel off? I hate stuff like that, reminds me of being at school.

So on Saturday night I decided to use the Holographic GOSH polish - and I LOVE this.

Well, I love it as soon as it goes on. Because after a while it goes a bit like this:

And again, one of the nails had completely come off in the night. It is a really sheer colour and it looks pretty streaky - but I love it anyway. I love the colour and it's left me wanting to try out more of the holo type polishes.

I'm seriously considering getting a Konad because I'm getting excited looking at all the pictures of everyone doing the plates! Has anyone else tried any of these polishes?

Just a few piccies

I haven't really taken many photos of the flat yet apart from when I first moved in. I was going to post them but then when I uploaded them I realised that it has all changed so much already with al the furniture and stuff, so I just have these two for the time being...

This is my favourite window that's for sure lol. It is an old converted chapel and this is the little window, you know on the side of old buildings, with the date engraved underneath, and it is on the staircase. I've sorted out my books (which also take up a big cardboard box, two shelves in the wardrobe and two drawers under my bed. Too many books?!) on the shelve and photo album and my lovely wifey bought me the 'Love' letters as a housewarming gift. Love it

And secondly, my bedroom. I love the windows in here too! The wardrobes and drawers are white and it looks all princessly - again, I love it
I am really missing the internet and being able to blog properly, I have tried to schedule some posts for this week and hopefully will be able to do some at work this week too.

Awesome Girl Award!

The gorgeous Tina and Leanne have both awarded me the above award recently and I want to thank them - I actually think someone else tagged me with this too but I can't remember who - I have so many starred posts in reader and paper notes around at the moment, I am struggling to keep up so apologies and when I find who it was I will mention you too! :)

Rules for this tag are to share ten facts about myself with you and pass it along to ten other beautiful bloggers. So here goes!

1. I go through phases of being obsessed with things. Reading, DVDs, Nails, Eyeshadows, Blogs, You Tube...I can spend months being obsessed with something and then it just kinda wilts and I can get a bit meh about it. At the moment I am obsessed with nails, painting my nails every other day - I am usually the kind of girl who leaves her nails chipped and gross for a fortnight.

2. My favourite season is without a doubt Autumn. My favourite holiday time of year is Christmas. I get excited thinking about it, its not unusual for me to come back from a Summer holiday abroad in July and then be moody I still have months of hot weather until the cold comes!

3. I own about two or three pairs of pyjamas - one three quarter length pair for Summer and two cosy flannel pairs for Christmas - the rest of the time I live in 'I <3 New York' tees. And when I say I live in them, I mean that I live in them. I literally come home, go to bed in one and then unless I am going out, I stay in it all weekend. I have tons of them, not to mention other t shirts I've picked up along the way from various places!

4. My perfect Saturday consists of a sleep in, a mooch around reading the headlines and then an 'Aldi' lunch whilst watching a film - I love Aldi! Mozzerlla fingers, scotch egg, breadsticks, salad, maybe some crisps - perfect buffet food!

5. X Factor is the only reality TV show I watch - I can't stand the likes of I'm A Celeb or Big Brother. Oh, and Britain's Got Talent - I have to watch to get my Simon Cowell fix. He's the man!

6. I always sit cross legged. It's really annoying but I can't sit with my legs down - even if I'm doing a dictation at work and need my feet on the floor to work the pedals I sit under one leg and stretch the other down. It's like an impossibility!

7. I have an obsession with box sets. I love buying them - I'm in the middle of watching Nip Tuck, waiting for my next series of CSI New York (woop), watched the entire two series of Gavin and Stacey this weekend and am still stuck in the middle of Prison Break. I bought Series One of Supernatural but it is still in the cellophane and now I've moved out I'm way too scared to begin watching it now I live alone - if anyone is interested (UK only) in buying it off me for a tenner, free P&P please email me!

8. I used to buy so many shoes - this was one of the pictures I took years ago now. I don't have anywhere near as many as I used to, I can't believe I used to buy so many and spend so much on them, now I'm happy just buying a couple of pairs a year as opposed to a couple a month!

9. I can't iron. I've never in my life picked up an iron and pretty much the only time I've made a meal from scratch was back at school. And since moving out two (three?) weeks ago, Mum is still doing my ironing and I'm pretty proud of my cooking skills!

10. I'm the biggest day dreamer I know. I can be sat at work typing a letter and paying absolutely no attention to what I'm doing at all, just thinking about, friends, mind just wanders!

OK onto who I tag...sorry if you have already got this award!

2. Better than Coffee (click the link to be taken to her best blog post last week!)

The above blogs are some that have been my main reads over the past month or two and I urge you to check them out!

I was saving this picture of this bag I bought a few weeks ago to add into a kinda haulage post. It is from George at Asda and was £4, down from £7. The site says they have none left but in my local they have loads. I love anything Barbie so picked it up, popped it in the trolley and continued around Asda for other housey things I was going to need to pick up for when I moved. [This happened a few weeks ago but as you know, I have limited internet!] So when I got to the tills I packed all my bottles of bleach, washing up liquid etc etc, you know the heavy stuff, into the bag and then left it on my bedroom floor. It was about two weeks before I moved into the flat so I had no need to unpack the bottles.

When I moved in it was the first bag I unpacked so I could have a good clean around first. As I was unpacking it I could see there was something there, lurking at the bottom but I didn't know what it was. It was a napkin or tissue I could tell, so I was kinda thinking as I was moving what I had been doing that night before I went shopping; I had been to Nandos so I didn't have any napkins in the car...I finally emptied the bag and pulled out THIS:

Some little scrubbers McDonalds chips and ketchup! I was horrified and I hate ketchup as well so it stunk and the grease of it being there for two weeks had leaked onto the bottom of the bag and left a mark. I was so angry - there is a McDonalds in my Asda so either someone wanged it into my trolley as I was packing the other stuff or they dumped their rubbish in the bag when it was still on the shelf and I just didn't notice. Moral of the story? Always check your bags before you buy them to check on one has done anything as disgusting as this!

Heads Up!

I popped in Superdrug earlier today and spotted this Garnier Spot Roll On almost half price - in Boots it retails at almost £9 and in Superdrug it is currently on offer for £4.33. I've raved about this before and honestly think it is amazing - I would defo pick one up if you don't already own one.

Quick Update

Hey :)

Thought I would do a little update as I've really missed blogging this week!

I still don't have my internet at the flat yet which is rubbish but I've been at my parents today so am pinching their broadband to do this :)

The flat is gorgeous, can't wait to show you some piccies later, I'm really happy there.

Spending wise I haven't been buying much lately...

Just the Sunset Sleek Palette and this red bowl and red pot pourri for my living room :) I used the Sunset Palette on Friday night when I went out but I don't like what it looks like in the pictures so I'll have to keep playing around with it.

Oh, and look who one of my neighbours is ...

a gorgeous puddy cat called Oscar...he followed us into my flat on Saturday morning when we came back from our night out and we were happy to cuddle and look after him! :D

I'll return shortly!

This month...

The lovely Toothfairy has started a pretty cool game which lets our readers find out more about us and as I can't really add pictures to my blogs at the moment I thought I would give it a shot...seems pretty cool ;)

For the original post and rules click here :)

Let's start!

This month....

I like: that I have now got my own cool swanky new pad :D

I don't like: the fact that I am really, really going to have to reign in any odds and end spends from now on. No more haulage from me :(

I want you to know: that at the end of every week I am pretty partial to a bit *cough* lot *cough* of sparkly, bubbly, pink cava, friends, dancing...and a McDonalds at the end. I'm telling you, I've met some hotties in there the last few times I've been out!

I've planned: lots of nights in with friends, DVDs and nice food. I just got a total flashback!!

I really miss this Barbie! I have it in the loft I think!! Slumber Party Barbie...soooo cool!! She was soft so you could sleep with her...and it was either this or another bedtime one I had that came with a face cloth that you wet and wiped her face and her eyes closed! I miss being young..I had so many Barbies!

I want to say to someone special: My someone special is going to lovely people! Thank you for being so lovely *hugs* xxx
