#53 I Love...

A few months ago I was very kindly sent a bottle of I Love...Cosmetics new Juiced Up Blackcurrant flavoured bubble bath and shower crème. 

I have to be honest and say that I don't think I had really heard of I Love...Cosmetics before being sent this but I don't really tend to frequent the toiletries section of Superdrug much so perhaps that is why! The packaging certainly would have caught my eye if I did, as it is very reminiscent of Philosophy products, but at a fraction of the price. 

Their typical range of different flavours consists of body butters, shower smoothies, bubble baths, lip balms and hand and body lotions - and everything looks equally as delicious! 

Juiced Up Blackcurrant was a limited edition product released in January/February and I'm not too sure you will still be able to get your mitts on it - but if you do happen to come across this product, would I recommend it? I think a lot of shower/bath products smell a bit fake and artificial once opened/used and I hate wasting money to find the smell may be nice in the bottle but not so nice in the tub, or doesn't last very long - I like to be able to still smell my bubble bath once I've finished up in the bathroom! This truly smells like someone has just squished a load of blackcurrants, or opened up a Ribena factory under your nose, and it is heavenly! The only thing I will say is that I found I had to use a lot of product to get a nice foamy bath but to be honest I tend to mainly use Lush Bubble Bars as opposed to bottles of bubble bath so I can't really say that this is any worse or better than a different branded bottle. 

Aside from the gorgeous smell and packaging, the number one big plus about this brand is the price. 

For a 500ml bottle of Bath & Shower Crème, or a 200ml tube of Shower Smoothie, Shower Gel or Body Butter, this will set you back a measly £2.50. In comparison, a bottle of Philosophy Bath & Shower Creme would cost you £14 - and that's for 20ml less than this. I know they are completely different brands at different ends of the scale but for £2.50 these are a fantastic little pick me up - I would love a selection of different flavours to take my pick from at the end of a hard days work!

#52 life according to my iphone week 14

Hola ladies!

Soo...has anyone overdone it on the chocolate front? I've had quite a bit I have to admit but really I'm dying to hit the crisps...I successfully gave up crisps for lent and fully intended to stock pile my favourites for today and totally forgot! Going to have to hit the supermarket tomorrow - have my mind stuck on doritos, salsa and cheese = yum! 

Monday my day started off with early morning cuddles from Milo <3 and ended with probably the most delicious stir fry I have ever made - my mouth is watering thinking about it!! Tuesday was the other directors birthday at work (last week I went on a different birthday lunch with the other director!) and we were treated to Piccalinos for dinner! When eating there I see no point in going unless it involves the Gamberoni aglio e olio (sauteed king prawns, chilli and garlic butter on toasted tuscan bread!) and would gladly just eat lots of this as a main course! For my main I had steak and totally forgot to snap a pic as I was too greedy and couldn't wait to put it in my mouth! A lovely meal. 

Wednesday's outfit, Wednesdays tea. The Labour MP Ed Balls was knocking on doors when I got home on Wednesday - I found my mum cowering in the kitchen in her dressing gown pretending no one was home, and yes, like a saddo I snuck upstairs and took photos of Ed outside my house when he was posing for his own photos! Woke up to snow on Wednesday as well which although it had been forecast I was still shocked to see! 

Good Friday: Outfit pose: River Island jumper and Topshop Ambush boots; Nandos, me and Lauren being stupid in Accessorize - right before we were told off by the security guard! Not for messing with the stock of course, but for taking photographs inside the White Rose Centre, as it is in fact forbidden. Total load of tosh if you ask me!  

The top two were actually Thursdays FOTD and lunch time in the park (yes, sunny enough to sit in the park, in contrast to Wednesday's snow!) spotting cute squirrels running around! (Well, maybe they look cute but I know from experience in New York they are totally scary up close!!) My brother bought me a new lamb teddy for my 'collection' - I love lambs and have a bit of an obsession with buying things to do with them... and my Easter Sunday was spent rediscovering the joys of my youth - Babysitters Club books and Sweet Valley Twins/High books! 

Hope everyone has had a fantastic Easter this year, cannot believe it is April already!

#51 life according to my iphone - week 13

Happy Easter ladies!

So this is what should have been posted last Sunday, my weekly catch up!

Reception at work has now been completely ripped out and looks so much different! / A pic I took from my bedroom, the sky looked gorgeous!

The director at work turned 51 and took me and my colleague to La Tasca for lunch...champagne, warm bread, prawns, chicken, potatoes...absolutely gorgeous.

I won a bar of Galaxy! Finally eating tons of minstrels paid off lol. My attempt at Beyonce on Draw Something...never realised how crap I was at drawing until this!

Last Saturday was my friends birthday and we went to Manchester for the day. it was a good day, I went to a couple of places I've never been before including on the Manchester Wheel! I've wanted to go on this for so long! 

I'll be posting again this afternoon with this weeks pictures to get back on track...in the meantime don't OD on chocolate ;-) xx

#50 life according to my iphone week 12

A very late post here! This last week has been a bit busy, and I haven't really been in the mood to be blogging/reading blogs but I didn't want to miss out on these posts. So this is week 12, 19 - 25 March! 

Picking up KFC 10% off cards from the newly opened one in Leeds Station - took them long enough to open one there! Freshly washed bedding and catch up TV :) New Topshop buys :) Beautiful tea - kale, potatoes and pasta YUM 

Bought Goodnight Sweetheart DVD - never watched it and it sounds like something I will like! Having a refurb at work so spent the last day taking photos before it all got ripped out! Had a rare night out (I'm such a loser never going out) and really enjoyed it - also reverted back to my 18 y.o self and drank a blue WKD - forgot how much I used to like these!!

Went for a ride out to Emley Moor Mast and the surrounding areas - it was such a lovely lovely day, really hot and sunny and we stopped for an ice cream (although my flake fell out and I was gutted :( ) 

Have you been enjoying the hot weather? It's been gorgeous hasn't it - although at the time of writing this it seems to be going back to horrible rainy and snowy weather, it seems so ridiculous!
